Wind Haven Foundation is a non-profit domestic violence advocacy group, no-cost, online 12-step domestic violence recovery program, & online peer-support community. Additionally, we offer our Overcomer Reforge Membership for deeper healing and recovery from toxic relationships, relational trauma and abuse, which helps support our domestic violence initiatives nationwide. To learn more about our organization, visit our About page.
Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behaviors—physical, emotional, verbal, financial, or spiritual—used to control or harm a partner or family member. It’s never justified, and no one deserves it. If you or someone you know needs support, you’re not alone—help is available. 💜
Your safety is the top priority, so if you’re in immediate danger, please call 911 for emergency assistance. For non-emergency support, you can find shelters, hotlines, legal resources, and more on our Domestic Violence Resources page. If you’re looking for a no-cost, online 12-step domestic violence recovery program, support group, and faith-based community, you can join our FREE online Crisis to Clarity community by filling out a quick sign-up form. We’re here to provide you with the help and support you need during this challenging time.
If you’re in immediate danger, call 911. This includes if physical violence is occurring, threats are being made, a weapon is involved, or someone is seriously injured. Also call if you’re trapped, children are at risk, or a restraining order is violated. For non-emergency crisis support, contact the Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE) or 1-800-787-3224 (TTY).
Our advocacy group raises awareness and shares education, and provides safety planning and resources to connect survivors to shelters, legal aid, and other essential resources like housing, financial assistance, and healthcare. We work to reduce stigma, create policy change, and train community leaders on domestic violence. Additionally, we offer support through our signature, non-profit 12-step recovery program and online peer support group, which aids in security, stability, and healing after abuse.
Due to funding restrictions, Wind Haven Foundation doesn’t currently offer legal aid, representation, or assistance with protection orders, though we intend to provide these services in the future to better meet community needs. Additionally, we are not a shelter, but we are actively advocating for and raising funds for a domestic violence survivor emergency fund and housing solutions through a nonprofit housing stewardship model. For legal needs, hotlines, or shelter services, please visit our resource page!

Feelings are valid but may not reflect truth. Consult God’s Word and seek support from our community to gain clarity and reassurance.
Biblical affirmations are declarations of God’s promises that renew your mind and spirit. Examples include “I am loved by God” (Jeremiah 31:3) and “I can do all things through Christ” (Philippians 4:13). Incorporating these into daily life fosters spiritual growth and resilience. Our Overcomer Reforge community offers mindfulness techniques, reflective journaling exercises, and guidance from mentors to help you with biblical affirmations.
