A Light in the Darkness

Welcome to Wind Haven, your ally in healing from domestic violence and toxic relationships. As survivors, we know how damaging abuse can be and how important it is to take back control of your life. That’s why we’re here to empower you as you move toward healthy connections, providing the support you need to heal and recover.

Our method is to help you create a plan that puts you back in control of your life. Our virtual recovery center is designed to support survivors through healing; it is not a substitute for therapy.

As a hub for domestic violence and intimate partner violence (DV/IPV) support, we keep an updated list of services, shelters, and programs. This includes hotlines, state and national resources, counseling services, and more. But we offer more than just resources. Our online Domestic Violence Recovery Center is a safe space, offering recovery courses, helpful blog articles, recommended books, and virtual coaching sessions with trauma-informed advocates.

We also offer a private online support group where you can connect with compassionate individuals. At Wind Haven, we believe everyone deserves to build healthy relationships and stronger marriages. We’re here to support you every step of the way as you rebuild your life and thrive.

Do you feel like… you are not being heard?

In the United States, a troubling reality unfolds every minute, with 24 people becoming victims of rape, assault, or stalking by an intimate partner. Shockingly, DV/IPV (Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence) leads to 1,300 deaths annually, equating to more than three tragic deaths caused by intimate partners every day.

Domestic violence often stems from power dynamics within relationships, posing significant challenges for survivors. At Wind Haven, our commitment extends beyond short-term fixes. We focus on providing domestic violence recovery, support, and resources to empower survivors while addressing the root causes of abuse.

Our mission at Wind Haven has two main goals. First, we work to prevent domestic violence through awareness, education, advocacy, and training. Second, we support women in achieving independence and emotional healing through our domestic violence trauma recovery program, peer support group, and trauma-informed coaching. Our ultimate aim is to empower individuals to break free from abusive situations and regain control of their lives. Additionally, we are raising funds for a new domestic violence shelter in Warner Robins, GA.

Donations play a crucial role in funding shelters and programs that offer vital support to individuals and families in crisis due to domestic violence. Houston County, GA, ranks high in domestic violence incidents. Your contribution can make a significant impact. Join us in our mission to create a safer, more empowered community. Together, we can support domestic violence recovery and foster an environment where survivors can thrive.

For anonymous, confidential help available 24/7, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE) or 1-800-787-3224 (TTY) now.
